Originally part of Goulbourn Township, the suburban community of Stittsville is located to the South West of the City. It has a small town charm with many small shops lining Stittsville Main Street. The population, now more than 20,000, continues to grow rapidly with many new communities being built. While there are some much older homes, most of the community was built after the 1970’s when the highway was expanded to make it an easy commute into the city. Stittsville also boasts many schools, recreation facilities, and trails.
