Barrhaven is a suburb of the former City of Nepean and is located on the outside of the Greenbelt in the South West end of the City of Ottawa. With a population of more than 70,000 people, it offers many amenities: access to public transit, schools, recreation facilities, and shopping. The first homes in the community were built starting in the 1960’s and it continues to grow with new builds; this give home buyers many options.

This area is comprised of many different communities that were once a part of the former City of Nepean. They include: Bells Corners, Bayshore, Craig Henry, Briargreen, Centrepointe, City View, Crystal Beach, Fisher Heights, Qualicum, Leslie Park, Parkwood Hills, Merivale Gardens, Tanglewood, and Trend-Arlington. Each community within has its own personality but they are all suburban and filled with parks, recreation facilities, and schools.
